Lead Pastor Jed Shorr

God has been faithfully watching over and blessing Jed throughout his life. Although he was born into an abusive and unhealthy family environment, God provided a new beginning when Jed was adopted by loving parents who lived out the gospel and modeled Christ’s love daily.

At the age of 19, Jed felt called to prepare for ministry and pursued a degree in Bible at Clearwater Christian College, where he also met his wife, Kristy. He has continued his theological education through post-graduate studies at institutions including Bob Jones Seminary, Knox Theological Seminary, and The Master’s Seminary. Jed’s hobbies reflect his passion for the Lord—he enjoys reading and studying theology, as well as playing golf.

Over the past 25 years, Jed has served in a variety of ministry roles. He has worked as a youth pastor, led Bible studies and small groups, volunteered with youth programs, served in the Good News Club, preached on many occasions, taught parenting classes, and provided marriage and family counseling. Throughout these experiences, he has felt a growing and persistent call to full-time ministry.

Now, as he embarks on this next chapter, Jed is stepping out in faith to plant a church in Hall County, Georgia. Drawing from 28 years of marriage, raising three sons, and running a business for over two decades, he brings a wealth of life experience into this new season of service.

Jed’s ministry vision is focused on evangelism—specifically reaching the unsaved and unchurched in North Gwinnett and Hall County. He is particularly passionate about developing male leadership in the home, mentoring young men to embrace their biblical roles, offering marriage and parenting counseling, and helping believers discover and use their spiritual gifts for the glory of God.
